The 1999 vintage was one of the best of the decade. Weather alternating between warm and colder temperatures at the start of the year, followed by a hot and dry summer, led to regular and promising ripening.

Deep red with amber highlights.
Smell
Black fruits perfume with hints of black pepper and licorice.
Taste
Silky tanins, generous black fruit and subtle minerality note.
Terroir
Representative of the appellation’s terroirs: rolled pebbles on the surface ; clay, sand and limestone at depth.
Vinification and ageing
Vinification
Total destemming and partial crushing. Vinification in truncated wooden vats and traditional concrete vats.
Aging
Single aging in concrete vats to preserve freshness and fruit.
